About Srishti
Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology was founded in 1996 by the Ujwal Trust with the objective of providing art and design education in an environment of creativity and maximizing individual potential. Srishti’s inter-disciplinary approach helps promote self-initiated learning and independent thinking, while expanding perceptual perspectives and developing artistic vocabularies. Courses are taught by industry-experienced faculty and the curriculum is built on a broad based liberal arts foundation.
Srishti offers a two year Foundation Studies and Core Skills program for 12th standard graduates. Students can then opt to apply for a Professional Diploma in any of the 2-year specializations offered at Srishti – Textile Design, Fashion Design, Visual Communication Design, Digital Video Production and Furniture & Interior Design. They can also opt for a one year Certificate, 2 year Professional Diploma or 3 year Advanced Professional Diploma in the inter-disciplinary Design for Community and Self program.
Direct Entry:
Experienced professionals and students from other related disciplines who meet our eligibility criteria can also apply for admission in the above mentioned specialized or inter-disciplinary programs.

Admissions for 2010-11
Admissions are open for the academic year 2010-11 for all programs.
The criteria for selection are different for each of these programs.
Srishti offers a two-year Foundation Studies Program for candidates who have passed 12th Standard (Plus Two).
Srishti offers undergraduate Professional Diploma Programs to students who have successfully completed the Srishti Foundation Studies Program and also welcomes Direct Entry students who have completed the equivalent of Srishti's Foundation Studies Program elsewhere, or are graduates from other art and design schools, or have professional work experience and an interest in art and design education.
Srishti offers postgraduate Advance Diploma Programs under the aegis of its two research centres - Centre for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA) and Centre for Educational Research Training and Development (CERTAD) to experienced professionals and graduates from any discipline who can prove their keen interest in the sphere of art and design education by means of a portfolio.

Entry Criteria
Foundation Studies
Srishti admits students after 10+2 or its educational equivalent. At Srishti, a student will have to go through a two year Foundation Studies program before being allowed into a 2.5 year specialization in the program of his / her choice. Upon successful completion of the graduating norms of the prescribed program, the student is awarded a professional diploma.
ENTRY CRITERIA FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES PROGRAM (any of the following)
- Anyone who has successfully completed the 10+2 examination, or its educational equivalent
- Graduates or diploma holders from any discipline

- Those who have completed the 2 year Foundation Studies program at Srishti
- Students from other art / design / architecture-related courses with minimum two years of study successfully completed after their 10+2 examination, or its educational equivalent
- In-service professionals from similar or related disciplines with minimum two years of work experience who have successfully completed the 10+2 examination, or its educational equivalent
- Long-standing professionals from any discipline with a genuine passion for design and communication who have successfully completed the 10+2 examination, or its educational equivalent
Advanced Diploma Program

Selection Process
Foundation Studies Program
For the foundation studies program, the selection process has two stages:
- Entrance test
- Portfolio review and interview
The entrance test is an aptitude test. It tests the students on logical thinking, drawing & colour skills, visualization skills and language skills. Candidates who qualify in the entrance test must then appear for a portfolio review & interview in Bangalore. The portfolio is used to assess a candidate’s talent, interests, prior training, motivation and self-discipline.
The Professional Diploma Program
For the Professional Diploma program, the selection process involves:

Important Dates
Monday, 15th March 2010: last date for receiving all applications and necessary documents specified in the application form.
Sunday, 11th April 2010: Srishti Entrance test Foundation Studies Program at your center of choice.
1st week of May 2010: tentative scheduled date for portfolio review and interview
